DPP student, Rene Eno-Akpa won the prestigious Google Policy Fellowship Award

DPP student, Rene Eno-Akpa has recently won the prestigious Google Policy Fellowship Award to do research at Strathmore University, Nairobi. This fellowship program supports graduate fellows who do research on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and Information and Communication Technology (ICT). Rene believes that while IPR limits access to quality schooling in rural areas, ICT enhances access to copyright-protected material through electronic learning platforms. His most important goal is to do research that helps rural and less fortunate Africans access copyright-protected materials and thus build a capacity for a better life.
